On March 1st, in order to further strengthen the training of front-line managerial personnel of enterprises and continuously promote the in-depth school-enterprise cooperation, the opening ceremony of the 2nd German AHK Meister Certificate——Covestro Chemical Industry Master Class was successfully held in the Multi-functional Hall of our school. Chen Xiaorong, Director of Vocational Education of German Industry and Commerce Greater China, Ji Wenbin, Deputy General Manager of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai, Gao Ju, Principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, and Huang Hanjun, Vice Principal, teachers of the 1st and 2nd master classes and all the trainees of the 2nd master class attended the ceremony.
AHK Meister Certificate Program is an international-level junior managerial personnel training for chemical enterprise team leaders, which is jointly organized by Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, AHK and Covestro. With reference to the corresponding German master certificate standards, teaching methods like face-to-face training, self-study and enterprise practice are adopted, and the training content covers many modules such as cross-discipline training, production skills training, vocational training and labor education ability. After passing the examination, the trainees can get Meister certificate issued by AHK.
In the opening speech, Gao Ju extended a warm welcome to all the guests. He reviewed the close cooperation between SPA and Covestro for more than 20 years and shared the successful training experience of the 1st Covestro Chemical Industry Master Class. He emphasized that the close cooperation between the two sides created a model of in-depth school-enterprise cooperation in Shanghai vocational education, and expected that in the training of the new master class, the trainees would continue to maintain a positive outlook, conscientiously abide by various regulations during the training period, successfully complete various training tasks through unremitting efforts, and realize the all-win situation among individual, enterprise and school.
Chen Xiaorong shared the initial intention and mission of German AHK Meister Certificate to serve domestic German-funded enterprises and promote the development of regional vocational education, affirmed the outstanding contribution of the 1st Industrial Master Class in improving employees' professional ability and accomplishment, and hoped that the new trainees would continue to adhere to the spirit of hard study and innovation, seize the opportunity, strive to improve their personal quality and accomplishment, and become valuable professionals.
On behalf of Covestro, Dr. Ji Wenbin expressed sincere congratulations to the trainees of the new master class. He pointed out that the company organized leadership training for junior managers and awarded AHK master class certificate, with the aim of improving employees' on-site management ability and system solutions, and cultivating excellent team leaders and future production managers for the enterprise. He hoped that the trainees can actively and boldly practice, promote the all-round progress of personal skills and accomplishments, and master new skills.
At the opening ceremony, the leaders at the meeting held a solemn admission certificate award ceremony for the trainees of the new Covestro Chemical Industry Master Class.
The outstanding trainee representative of the 1st master class earnestly shared his training and learning experiences on the spot. The courses have improved the trainees in many aspects, such as business ability, career planning, leadership and vocational education concept. Communication and learning in the training have enabled the trainees to further strengthen cohesion, deepen their friendship and improve the communication efficiency at work. He extended sincere thanks to Covestro for the platform and opportunity provided by the company and wished the new trainees success in their studies.
In view of the outstanding contribution of Covestro Company in production-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, Principal Gao Ju presented the honorary trophy of Advanced Collective of Comprehensive Education Reform in the 13th Five-Year Plan to Dr. Ji Wenbin on behalf of Jinshan District Education System.
In the afternoon, the school also held a teaching seminar of the 1st master class, with the participation of SPA teachers and Covestro experts. Participants focused on the teaching content and teaching methods of the master class, conducted in-depth discussions, summed up experiences and put forward suggestions for improvement. The seminar further deepened the communication between the school and the enterprise, and effectively helped a stronger combination of theory and practice.
The 1st Covestro Chemical Industry Master Class started in January 2020. Under the background of making every effort to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic situation, 15 trainees officially started classes in July of that year, and all the courses will be completed successfully in September this year. The 2nd Covestro Chemical Industry Master Class, which is composed of 18 front-line outstanding team leaders carefully selected by Covestro, is also based on the master class training agreement, which is committed to further enriching employees' professional knowledge, improving their business ability and management level, helping them to become the backbone of front-line management, and realizing the same-frequency resonance between personal growth and enterprise development with the help of AHK meister certification course system.
The opening ceremony marks the official start of the 2nd Covestro master class, and also indicates that the school's international-level chemical vocational skills training standards are becoming more mature, which greatly improves the school's vocational education social service ability and lays a more solid foundation for the school to enter a higher stage of development.
